This Great Line of Earth is the 60th Parallel between Alberta and the Northwest Territories. This crossing is on the MacKenzie Highway.

The MacKenzie Highway (Hwy 35 in Alberta and Hwy 1 in the Northwest Territories) is the only paved crossing between Alberta and the Northwest Territories. A large sign announces:
60th Parallel
Welcome to the Northwest
Territories
and there is a 60th Parallel Visitors Information Centre just to north on the Northwest Territories side of the border. They give out "Order of Arctic Adventurers, North of 60° Chapter" certificates.

Tolerance: We stopped exactly at 60° 00.000 and the NWT Monument was just a few feet away
