In Macedonia square one can find a fountain with magnificent equestrian statue of Alexander the Great surrounded by other pieces of statuary.

The monument is inspired by nationalist principles, attaching the name of Alexander the Great to the country (of Macedonia). The imposing 22 m high statue is therefore surrounded by soldier statues and lions. There is also a fountain spilling high streams of water.
