Quito's Historic Centre was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. It has more than 300 blocks of colonial houses with 200-400 years of history. The area has genuine architecture jewels like la Compañía church, The Quito´s Cathedral, San Francisco Convent, and Santo Domingo.
