Olsen Pioneer Park, north of Kalispell, is operated by the Northwest Antique Power Association. The word
Antique in their name should be a clue. The park is the site of the annual Northwest Antique Power Association Annual Threshing Bee, the 21st to take place on September 5th, 6th and 7th of 2014.
This event features steam threshing, steam plowing, antique tractors and engines, daily Parade of Power, shingle making, miniature steam train rides, running sawmill, music and entertainment. Lunch available and handicap transportation on grounds. Pets allowed in camping area only.

Through the summer the park is open for all us old foggies who like to spend their days reliving their youth. As well, they stage other, lesser events through the summer, some for the kids even. The park is free to visit. When it's not officially open, one may still enter and wander around among all the old machinery and tractors at the park. For old farmers and gearheads of any age this is an amusement park par excellence.
Get to Olsen Pioneer Park by heading east from Highway 2 on Pioneer Road at the north end of the Kalispell Airport for about a mile, then south on Helena Flats Road, at which time you'll see the park on your right.
