Located just outside Málaga, the Historical-Botanical Garden of the Conception is a magnificent botanical garden. There are regular guided tours of the gardens which pass through exotic trees and plants, Roman sculptures and a waterfall.
An information board beside the gazebo reads:
The gazebo was constructed by the second owners of La Concepcion (1911-1990) in the regional style. From here can be seen the cathedral, the Alcazaba, the castle and Mount Gibralfaro, the Malaga mountains and the luxuriant gardens of the Hacienda de San José (to the left). Given that it is the most relevant element of La Concepcion from the outside. It has ispired our emblem.
