Located off of SR 36 in Cook Forest State Park. 1.5 miles on a gravel service road, parking is .25 miles from the tower. Like any fire tower it provides a great view of the area. Plus the best location for a strong cellular signal, you only have to climb 100 plus steps up to make the phone call - who cares the view is worth it and in the fall the views will be even better. There is a 10 person limit so choose your trip wisely. It shakes like a leaf in the wind when you are at the top when folks are going up & down.
Camping is just across the road at a State managed camp site, 30 & 50 amp service and tent only sites with full washroom facilities (laundry to boot).
