[NL] Bij de hoofdingang van kasteel Westhove staat centraal op het plein een oude linde. Sommige bronnen beweren dat deze boom de oudste linde van Nederland is en tussen 1000 en 1400 geplant moet zijn geworden, toen het kasteel door monniken in gebruik was. Volgens deze bron is 1750 waarschijnlijker.

[EN]Near the main entrance of castle Westhove is at the center of the square an old Dutch Linden located. Some sources say that it is the oldest Linden in the Netherlands and that it has to be planted between 1000 and 1400 by monks that owned at those days the castle. An other source suggests that the tree dates from about 1750.
