"Gaudy himself gave his neo-Romanesque church project named 'Pax' (peace). The floor plan has the form of a Latin cross. The facade is made of Jurassic limestone - the tower has a height of 70 m. The largest of the six bells weighs over 3 tons. The church originally took 1045 seats. The altars (also designed by Adolf Gaudy) consist of Siena marble. The Byzantine-looking tabernacle is gold plated metal. All pictorial representations of stone created by the sculptor Payer.
The pictures in the chancel and nave as well as the designs for the stained glass windows were created by the artist Fritz Kunz Zug. The colored murals depicting the life of Jesus beginning with the Annunciation to the Resurrection. The choir picture shows the garden of paradise with the 12 apostles. The deer at the water source are a symbol of the thirsting souls after Psalm 42. Franz Xaver Zettler designed the glass window. The decorations are painted by Joseph Traub."
