This bridgeless water crossing is the only way to access the Hawkestone Park Community Baseball and Soccer Fields by motor vehicle. Access is from 11 Line S. across from the town Fire Hall.

Hawkestone Park is used by the community as recreation area in Hawkestone, Ontario. Access by motor vehicle was obtained by using the railway right of way until 1998. That was when the property was converted to a shared-use recreational trail and barricades blocked vehicle use. Clever residents discovered that when the water was low on Hawkestone Creek they were able to drive through. At the time of this visit the water was quite high.
