The depot is the oldest remaining active passenger depot of the former Northern Pacific railway. Though closed to the public, it is expected that the depot will open for use as a waiting room at the end of 2014.
The Burlington Northern tracks pass right by the depot and they are very busy. There are trains passing continuously throughout the day. We were at the depot twice and caught a train passing each time.
