Kino Kveten (The May Cinema), opened in December 25, 1930, is not only pearl of functionalist architecture and pride of the town Nový Jicín, but after complete modernisation of interior and audiovisual technology also the full digital 3D cinema with 475 seats.

The building of Kino Kveten is work of notable Viennese architect Leo Kammel and after more than 80 years still well represents modern architecture of the 20th century. The cinema is a municipal enterprise governed by Municipal Cultural Centre (Mestské kulturní stredisko Nový Jicín) and except the movie projections it organises concerts and film festivals.
