[NL] Rondom Barneveld zijn een groot aantal beken te vinden die via de Barneveldse Beek in het Valleikanaal en uiteindelijk in Eem uitmonden. In 2004 zijn de stuwen geautomatiseerd en wordt er een balans gezocht voor landbouw en natuur. De Esvelderbeek is een goed voorbeeld. Deze plek heeft een mooie vistrap met picknick tafels en wat speeltoestellen voor de kinderen, maar het leukste is natuurlijk pootjebaden in de zomer in de vistrap.
[EN]Many streams can be found around Barneveld, they result in the Barneveldse Beek and in the Valleikanaal and ultimately result in De Eem. In 2004, the weirs are automated and a balance is sought for agriculture and nature. The Esvelderbeek is a good example. This place has a nice fish ladder with picnic tables and a playground for the kids, but the funniest part is ofcause paddling in the fish ladder during summer.
