The Roman Catholic parish IJsselmuiden was founded on January 1, 1857 and is dedicated to Our Lady Immaculate.
Before 1857, the Catholics of IJsselmuiden went to church in Kampen. The first church in IJsselmuiden was built in 1859. Due to the growth of the parish a larger church was built on the same site in 1919. The architect was Jan Stuijt and the contractors were the brothers Koenders from Enschede. The church was consecrated October 7, 1919. Relics of St. Damian and St. Euphemia were placed in the main altar.
The church was renovated in 1968. It was changed thoroughly. The pulpit and the communion benches disappeared. A new altar table was situated centrally, which stressed that the liturgical celebrations should be real community celebrations. The choir area was also increased significantly. In 1964 the firm Verschueren from Heijthuizen placed a pipe organ, not new but in excellent condition.
In the front of the church stands a nineteenth-century statue of Mary, made of linden wood. At the rear wall of the church is a painting that represents the miraculous fishcatch. Also in the rear of the church is a statue of St. Isidore, patron of farmers. The Lady Chapel got improved, and the removal of some benches created a beautiful entrance.

De Rooms Katholieke parochie IJsselmuiden is gesticht 1 januari 1857 en is toegewijd aan Onze Lieve Vrouw Onbevlekte Ontvangenis.
Voor 1857 kerkten de katholieken uit IJsselmuiden in een van de twee staties te Kampen. De eerste kerk in IJsselmuiden werd in 1859 gebouwd. Vanwege de groei van de parochie werd in 1919 op de zelfde plaats een grotere kerk gebouwd. De Architect was Jan Stuijt en de aannemers waren de gebroeders Koenders uit Enschede. De kerk werd 7 oktober 1919 geconsacreerd. In het hoofdaltaar werden de relieken van de heilige Damianus en de heilige Euphemia geplaatst.
In 1968 werd de kerk gerenoveerd. De inrichting werd grondig veranderd. De preekstoel en de communiebank verdwenen. Er werd een nieuwe altaartafel meer centraal opgesteld, waardoor werd benadrukt, dat de liturgische vieringen gemeenschapsvieringen dienen te zijn. Toen werd ook de zangkoorruimte aanzienlijk vergroot. Reeds in 1964 was door de firma Verschueren uit Heijthuizen het pijporgel, niet nieuw maar wel in uitstekende staat, geplaatst.
Vooraan staat een negentiende-eeuws Mariabeeld, gemaakt van lindehout. Achterin de kerk hangt een schilderij, dat de wonderbare visvangst voorstelt. Ook achter in de kerk staat een beeld van de H. Isidorus, de patroon van de landbouwers. Gelijk met de verbetering van de Mariakapel, zijn een aantal van de achterste banken verwijderd, waardoor de fraaie entree is ontstaan.
