On the northwestern hillside of Chlum opposite Gabriela's farmyard, presented in 1868 by Baron Johann Emst Liebig to his daughter Gabriela - (hence the name of the farmyard), in the middle of a maintained park with high lime and oak trees and a sandstone statue to St Johann Nepomuk from 1720 stands a sandstone mausoleum with a chapel devoted to the remembrance of dead Austrian and Saxon soldiers.

The monument was built at the expense of Baron Johann Emst Liebig and from profits
of the edition of a poem "All Souls Day 1866" and it was consecrated on July 3, 1867. Field Masses were served here hereafer on the anniversary of the battle.

In the struggle for Lipa the Austrian 49th Infantry Regiment attacked the Hola Forest to the west of Lipa at 1:30 PM, however the Prussians repulsed, and at 2:00 PM they themselves decided to attack. This one and further two of their attempts were not successful. After Chlum was taken by the Prussian Guard they started to advance to the back of the 3rd Corps. After 3:00 PM the II Battalion of Guard Fusileers of the vanguard of the lst Guard Division started to penetrate into Cisteves. Further on divisions of the I Battalion of that regiment and guard jaegers shot ahead from Chlum going against the wood above Lipa engaged by the Austrian H/52 Battalion. The Austrians were driven away from the wood, but before
long they took it back, however, they were not able to keep up against the numerical superiority and retreated again. In the meantime the vanguard of the Prussian 2nd Guard Division at a strength of five battalions and two batteries also stepped up to an attack against Lipa from Cisteves. The village was defended by the 3rd Field Jaeger Battalion and a part of I/78 Battalion that faced the Prussian attack from the west and east. The II Battalion of Guard Fusileers and the 27th Regiment of the 7th Division advanced against Lipa from the north. The Austrians defended themselves furiously and it was struggled for each house there. The Prussians succeeded to take the village again, however, their losses were great, but the Austrian 3rd Corps was forced to retreat, to escape its envelopment. It brought t0 the Prussians the definitive mastery in the middle of the Austrian position near Lipa and Chlum.
