Allgau airport is also known as Memmingen airport. It's a small international airport in Bavaria.

Allgau started as a military air base, firstly used by the Luftwaffe (from 1935), then by the USAF and finally by the post-World War 2 German Air Force.

It became a civilian international airport in 2004 and it's currently used by a number companies, specially "low cost" companies, serving as an option to the main Munich's airport. Allgau is about 100 km far from the big city, but the connection is fast and easy.
