Canadian Legion Cemetery is well maintained by the Town of Creston. This designated area is reserved for Veterans from all wars and is a part of Forest Lawn Cemetery. A small cairn honoring all war veterans is at the entrance to the Canadian Legion Cemetery. The Canadian flag stands witness to these veterans.

Inscribed on the cairn is as follows:

Dedicated To All War Veterans
By Branch 29 Canadian Legion B.E.S.L.
Creston, B.C.
Their Names Liveth For Everyone
Lest We Forget
"At The Going Down Of The Sun
And In The Morning
We Shall Remember Them"

There are approximated 300 Veteran grave sites and all the markers are flush to the ground.

In the center of the cemetery are a large map and a book: "Names" with Block and Plot Numbers. The Canadian Legion Cemetery is to the right of this sign.

Forest Lawn Cemetery is large cemetery with about 3900 interments and is still active. Based on information the cemetery began in about 1940. However the earliest burials that I could find were in 1947.

The Forest Lawn Cemetery is about 4.5 km NE of Creston. Travel east on Hwy. 3 until you reach the intersection of Hwy. 3 and 36th Avenue. Turn north on 36th Avenue, it is less than a km, the cemetery is on your right, just before the bend in the road.
