The citizens of the town Hardenburg remember here the fight against the decision of the Bavarian king, to be able to just use the forest for a fee.
Existing rights to use the forest for free were taken back by the king. After a long court dispute has been determined that the forest may be used free of charge by the citizens again. The king had to pay compensation.
Der bayrische König untersagte die kostenlose Nutzung des Waldes. Nach langem gerichtlichen Streit wurde das Recht zur Nutzung des Waldes den Bürgern von Hardenburg zu gesprochen. Der König musste eine Entschädigung bezahlen.
