Your whitewater river rafting journey takes you from Mecca Flat Campground outside Warm Springs, Oregon, to the Sandy Beach take-out six and a half river miles downstream of Oregon’s whitewater river rafting hub --- the town of Maupin.
On an Upper Deschutes Whitewater River Rafting trip you river raft by columnar basalt cliffs and float through canyons carved into the Mutton Mountain range. Campsites are plentiful with exceptional views, intriguing geologic formations, sturdily designed pit and composting toilets and dotted with junipers and Douglas firs.
