The public library, located in the town of Gript, next to the town hall, is open to the public in June 2002 and welcomes approximately 275 members (location map).
To date, the library, divided into two sections, adults and youth, brings together over 8000 articles clean background (books, magazines) and 1000 belonging to the BDDS (County Library Deux-Sèvres), including a CD and DVD.
All these books are available to members.

La bibliothèque municipale, située dans le bourg de Gript, à côté de la mairie, est ouverte au public depuis le mois de juin 2002 et accueille environ 275 adhérents.
A ce jour, la bibliothèque, répartie en deux sections, adultes et jeunesse, rassemble plus de 8000 ouvrages en fond propre (livres, magazines) et 1000 appartenant à la BDDS (Bibliothèque Départementale des Deux-Sèvres) dont quelques CD et DVD.
L'ensemble de ces ouvrages sont mis à disposition des adhérents.
