"This chapel was probably built - like its counterpart, the Chapel of S. Joseph, situated next to EN10, so that farm workers could attend the mass on holy days, since it was not often possible for them to move to the nearest parish, and simultaneously allowed to accomodate these same people when the floods ravaged abrupt these terrain (Lezírias)."
