A small maritime museum in a brand new leisure area near Lisbon.

"The museum center "Póvoa and the River" materialize memories of some of the earliest traces of ancient civilizations that passed through, leaving his testimony, whether in the recall of activities such as the extraction of salt, the water transport, the industrialization of the riverfront or in reference to fishing activities conducted by local Avieira community."
The museum displays objects used in fishing activities, such as nets, floats, etc.., One local vessels and two replicas. Also displays documentation and photographs of activities in the area, particularly in the salt mines.
Despite having made the visit and the person in charge of the museum to be quite sympathetic I did not feel comfortable to take pictures inside the museum.
