The prison was created by merging two townhouses from the 15th century. Since the beginning of the 17th century functioned town prison and torture chamber. Since 1911 one of the city's museum object, initially as a warehouse, from the beginning of the 40th 20th century as an exhibition space (now a historical exposition).
