These two life sized lions sit on guard duty at the main entrance to a hotel.

Malang is a peaceful and cool (temperature wise) city, however, in case of trouble these two lions are ready to leap into action to guard the guests of the Helios Hotel, one of the more salubrious short term residences of the city. The lions are of some light brown stone, more or less life-sized, and both recline on a plinth. The two lions differ slightly. One is silent, while the other has his mouth open. I wonder why.
