Henrik Thrap-Meyer. For at udnytte murene fra den forrige kirke, som brændte i 1880, blev alteret anlagt mod Vest og ikke mod Øst som det ellers er almindeligt i kirker. Kirken har plads til 1500 mennesker og har åbent nogle timer hver dag.

Kristiansand Cathedral has a central location in the city. The opening of the present church was in 1885 and it is the fourth church on this location. The church is the main church for Agder and Telemark diocese. The chruch was drawn by architect
Henrik Thrap-Meyer. To reuse the walls that was left after the fire in 1880 the altar was placed in the Western part of the church and not in the Eastern which most common. The church has room for 1500 people and has open every day.
