This inconspicuous memorial plaque is found on the second floor of the Manitoba Provincial Capitol building, near the Legislative Library.
The text of the plaque reads as follows:
"To honour those who enlisted for service in the South African War
Oct 11 1899 – May 31, 1902
May those that come after see that these men are not forgotten
Erected by the Province of Manitoba
May 31, 1952"
It is impossible to get a GPS reading inside the massive Capitol building, so the coordinates are for the center the dome.
There are several other plaques lined up along this interior hallway.
