This town of about 1300 people bills itself as "Virginia's Only Lakeside Town." Clarksville is the first town you reach in Virginia as you drive north on U.S. Highway 15. There are still a few tobacco warehouses outside of town, but the economy seems more geared around Kerr Reservoir, or Buggs Island Lake as the Virginians like to call it.
The Town Hall is in the Historic District along Virginia Avenue, which is also Virginia State Route 49 and U.S. Routes 15 and 58.
The only identifying sign on the building is The "TOWN HALL" sign above the building. Since this is the only town for miles around, I guess "Clarksville" on the sign would be redundant.
