All the athletic competition medals for the 2010 Winter Olympics were struck here at the Royal Canadian Mint in Winnipeg. The Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa made special souvenir coins for the Olympic athletes.
Examples of the gorgeous medals from the 2010 Winter Olympics are on permanent display in the Winnipeg Mint's gift shop area. Neither the medals themselves or replicas are for sale.
