The 1976 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXI Olympiad, was an international multi-sport event celebrated in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1976.
Near the velodrome, which became the Biodome, is a monument with flags and plaques commemorating the winners of the Montreal Olympic games.
On this plaque one can read :
"Ces plaques, commémorant les vainqueurs des jeux de la XXIe Olympiade, ont été dévoilées par son excellence Juan Antonio Samaranch, président du comité international olympique, à l'occasion du 10e anniversaire de leur célébration."
The plaque was installed on July 16th. 1986.
Au centre des installations olympiques de Montréal se trouve un monument commémorant les vainqueurs des XXIe Jeux Olympiques d'été qui on eu lieu en 1976.
Une plaque a été installée en 1986 en présence du président du Comité Olympique International, Juan Antonio Samaranch.
