Johnny's is a little hard to get to, but it is well worth it. Blasterz are from Texas. We know a good steak when we have one. We have had great steaks in several local (not chain EVER) steakhouses in Omaha, but we keep coming back to Johnny's, Omaha's Original Steakhouse.

Johnny's is literally in the shadow of the Union Stockyards -- at one time the a center of the meatpacking industry in the US, and employer of half of the population of Omaha. The Union Stockyards closed in 1999, so the air here is a little clearer - but the overwhelming aroma from acres and acres of livestock pens for 77 years never stopped the crowds from coming to Johnny's.

CRAZY portions of blue cheese, house-made complimentary cheese spread on crackers appetizers, and PERFECT fork-tender steaks are the stuff of a carnivore's dreams.

Blasterz of all ages love Johnny's -- and kids are very welcome here. This is a FAMILY steakhouse but still quiet and dignified, with IMPECCABLE service from professionals who have been serving customers here for decades. Everything about Johnny's is first-class without being stuffy and snooty.
