This pier is called Cais da Aldeia da Luz, which translates to Luz's village pier. Aldeia da Luz is a special place. Its population was moved from the original village which was submerged by the waters of Alqueva dam (eventually the largest in Europe).
To get to this pier a long walk in a wooden pathway is required..
