Paddle your way through Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon, aka Pine Creek Gorge. This is one of PA's scenic rivers and it is over 60 miles long. The most popular section of pine creek is the 17 miles that flows through the canyon which will take about 4 to 6 hours to the small town of Blackwell. Pine Creek has no dams, so there are no dam releases. The flow of the river totally depends on the weather. The best time of year to go canoeing is in the spring because of frequent rain and snow melt. If there has been little rain for an entire season, chances are there won't be enough water to paddle. The water level can change fast so please check river conditions before you leave (
