Corning Inc is an innovator and world leader in the glass market, and on June 21, 2001 celebrated 150 years since they have opened. To commemorate, a time capsule was buried here and large glass disk is on display. A carved stone reads "Time Capsule Dedicated June 21, 2001 in Celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Corning Incorporated to be opened June 2051." In their short 150 years, Corning Inc has revolutionized the glass industry. They invented Pyrex, Gorilla Glass, and the first commercially viable fiber optics. I wonder what will happen in the next 150 years.
