It is on the side of what was originally the Bishop's Palace, but is now a small family run hotel.

He was born in the town of Soller in 1745 and died in 1818. As well as rising to the position of bishop he was also a deputy of the Cadiz Court, a constituent assembly in Spain during the Spanish Revolution of 1808-14. As a member of the court he also helped to write the first Spanish constitution.

The hotel has recently placed an information board that translates the plaque into a number of languages.

The text of the stone plaque is as follows.
AQUESTA CASA
ES LA QUE HABITA
EL BISBE
Dr. BERNAT NADAL
FILL DE SOLLER
MDCCXLV - MDCCCXVIII

The English text on the modern information board is as follows.
In this house lived Bernat Nadal i Crespi (1745 - 1818), bishop of Majorca
illustrious son of Soller, deputy of the Cadis Courts and one of the writers of the
Spanish Constitution
