Santa Fe Plaza is a small park area on Main Street which has several war memorials, and a caboose donated in memory of a local citizen. Among the monuments is this granite stone with an angled front, which is engraved "DESERT STORM HONOR ROLL". Beneath this is a list of sixty names of those from the local area who fought in Desert Storm. No indication is given as to who dedicated this honorarium.

The Gulf War 8/2/1990 - 2/28/1991) was given the code name "Operation Desert Storm" during the last month of the war. The war was waged by a coalition of forces from 34 nations led by the United States against Iraq in response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait.
