Milan Rastislav Štefánik (July 21, 1880 in Košariská (Kosaras), Kingdom of Hungary – May 4, 1919 in Ivanka pri Dunaji, Czechoslovakia) was a Slovak politician, diplomat, and astronomer.

During World War I, he was General of the French Army, at the same time the Czechoslovak Minister of War, one of the leading members of the Czechoslovak National Council (i.e. resistance government), contributed decisively to the cause of Czechoslovak sovereignty.

Štefánik's personal motto was: To Believe, To Love and To Work (Verit, milovat, pracovat).

At published coordinates you can visit Štefánik's birthplace and childhood home in former Evangelical parsonage, currently a small museum in village of Kosariská, western Slovakia.

Milan Rastislav Štefánik (* 21. júl 1880, Kosariska, okres Myjava Rakusko-Uhorsko – † 4. maj 1919, Most pri Bratislave CSR) bol slovensky astronom, politik, general francuzskej armady.

V rokoch 1914 – 1918 organizoval cesko-slovenske legie v Srbsku, Rumunsku, Rusku, Taliansku a v roku 1918 protisovietsku intervenciu na Sibiri. Taktiez bol clenom Narodnej rady v Parizi a prvy cesko-slovensky minister vojny. Zahynul pri leteckej katastrofe pri navrate na Slovensko.

Na tomto mieste najdete jeho rodny dom a male muzeum v budove byvalej evanjelickej fary v Kosariskach.
