The Old Timberline Trail follows the path of wood fired steam-driven locomotives that used to transport wood from the bush to Barrabup Mill and then on to Busselton jetty for export.
Today the Old Timberline Trail southern terminus is within the Nannup Foreshore Park on the banks of the Blackwood River. The trail passes through Workman's Pool (a camping and swimming point) and then Barrabup Pool (camping and swimming point) before reaching Sleeper Hewer's Camp, a walk or cycle in only camping area. The northern terminus can be found north of Sleeper Hewer's Camp at Cambray Siding which is accessible via vehicle.
