Hotel and Café Slavia (Hotel a kaviaren Slávia), located at Hlavná ulica (Main Street) in the heart of Košice historic centre, is the most beautiful Art-Nouveau building of East-Slovakia metropolis.
Hotel and Café Slavia, originally known under name Café Savoy, is impressively preserved and recently reconstructed building which houses a hotel and a café with a rich history. Slavia, built in 1900-1901 by local brewer Konstantin Bauernebl, is ranked among the first Košice' structures expressing the Art Noveau style. Also in its interior you can find preserved valuable Art-Nouveau decorations and elements.
