We recently visited Churchill for a polar bear viewing trip, and now can't get off this blog which tracks the movement of these wonderful animals.
From mid-October to mid-November polar bears congregate at the edge of Hudson Bay waiting for the ice to form so they can head out for the winter.
Polar Bear Alert tracks their numbers and movements, as well as providing amazing photos and general information about the bears.
These animals are "threatened", the first step in the path to extinction. Public awareness and concern can hopefully turn their status around.
