At the site of today's village Klášter was founded in 1144 by Vladislav II. Cistercian Abbey of Our Lady, settled by monks from the German Ebrach. The monastery was burnt down by the Hussites in 1420, but monks lived in the ruined convent until the 16th century. The font was probably from the original church, totally destroyed by fire.
