The rails have been removed. On the date of my visit, the building had electric service and was being used for storage. Railroads were very important to the commerce of this area in the 1800’s, and this would have been a busy station for passengers and freight.

Directions: From the intersection of Highways 96 and 49 in the center of Virgilina, proceed west on the main street about three blocks and turn left onto Carolina Street. The depot will be one block on your right.
