In South Kingstown, off Matunuck School House Road, is the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, which has a visitor station at the parking lot that has a passport stamp.

The refuge is located on the south coast of Rhode Island. From US Route 1, turn onto Moonstone Road and travel south to Matanuck School House Road, turn right and to the refuge. There are signs to lead you there. The parking lot is a loop with a few spaces. The visitor station is right there.

The cabin is a small rustic building. There was a person staffed at the time of our visit. That person also produced the stamp and applied the stamp.

Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge is located on the only salt water (actually brackish) pond that has no development along its shores. There are about 3 miles of trails arranged in a loop with a few spurs. The pond is a main migratory stop for waterfowl and predatory birds such as osprey and harriers are known to be there.

The address given is for the general headquarters, which administers five refuges along the Rhode Island coast.
