The small entrance fee to Boulder Penguin Colony helps provide the funds to maintain the very nice boardwalk that provides visitors a safe solid avenue for visiting the penguins. The boardwalk is wide and has guardrailing where needed, making it safe for wheelchairs also.
There are actually 3 separate branches to the boardwalk. Take the time to explore all three, to see different members of the penguin colony that calls this location home.
