Mineral Basin, at the top of American Fork canyon, is rich in hard-rock mining history. This water crossing, located on National Forrest road NF-70007, has historically suffered wash-outs almost every spring. Now is has been repaired as part of a mining area reclamation effort.

Our photos were taken in October and shows minimal stream flow but you can see from the size of the partial paving that this river can become a raging torrent during the spring runoff.
