A one mile hike takes visitors to one of the most spectacular natural wonders in this part of the state. Devil’s Kettle Falls plunges 50 along the Brule River, half down to a lower level of basalt bedrock and half into a pothole with a mysterious depth and an unknown end. There are several overlooks which are popular with photographers and nearly 200 wooden steps that approach the falls. Wear sturdy footwear and take your time on the steps; there are several benches if you need to rest along the way. You will also be passing High Falls on the trail.
