Edward VII, King of England, was born on November 9, 1841 and died on May 6, 1910. He was the King of the United Kingdom, and the British Dominions and Emperor of India from January 22, 1901 until his death. He was born the eldest son and second child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, he served as heir apparent and held the title of Prince of Wales for longer than any of his predicessors. He was educated privately in Cambridge and Edinburgh, Oxford.
He married Alexandra (eldest daughter of Christian IX of Denmark) in 1863 and they had 3 sons and 3 daughters:
