Located next to the City Hall (or Rathaus), this sculpture depicts a horizontal young man with arms spread apart at his sides as if he is flying or body surfing. It is set on a concrete pedestal about 5.5 feet high.
The bronze piece is by Doris Buhler and called "Phoenix". The placard has two dates 1970 and 2003. Perhaps it was made in 1970 and placed here in 2003?
