Dieses alte Stadttor befindet sich am nördlichen Ende der alten Lahnbrücke in Limburg a.d. Lahn. Es wurde zusammen mit der Lahnbrücke im Jahre 1354 fertiggestellt und ist heute das einzige verbleibende Stadttor Deutschlands, welches bereits im 14. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde.
Die Grundfläche beträgt 12x12 mm, die Giebelhöhe ca. 14 m. Durch das Tor führt eine einspurige Fahrbahn einer öffentlichen Straße.

This old gateway / gatehouse is located at the northern end of the old stone bridge spanning the river Lahn in Limburg a.d. Lahn, Germany. It was build along with the bridge itself and was finished in the year 1354. It is the last remaining original gateway arch in Germany which dates back to the 14th century.
The gateway has a 12x12 m footprint and is approx. 14 m high. There is still a one-lane public road leading through the arch.
