The phenomenon of love padlocks has recently spread to Liverpool with the metal railings at the Albert Docks being a very suitable location.

The Albert Docks in Liverpool have been redeveloped as a tourist attraction and are very different to their industrial past. There are however plenty of reminders here of the past with the Maritime Museum nearby and the stories of people who lost their loved ones at sea. The Beatles museum is also close by with their many songs on the theme of love.
