Historically ore in a pocket or lens was mined by by Open or Cut and Fill stope mining. The miners drill and blast down the ore to the floor of the Stope. Then they move the ore to the ore chute using a Slusher which is an air driven Tugger with a steel cable dragging a heavy scraper (slusher) through the ore and over to the ore chute. These machines are outside on display near the drill shop with many other mining tools.
