These pictographs are found in Hueco Tanks, State of Texas Historic Park. The park is located 30 miles east of El Paso off of Hwy 62/180. It is a beautiful park and has excellent trails that will take to various areas that offer spectacular views and easy access to the pictograph sites. Unfortunately, there are those that feel they must deface these ancient paintings, so some of the better pictographs are located off limits or only when accompanied by a park ranger. I was fortunate the day I visited and a ranger showed me some pictographs that remain undisturbed and look almost like they were done a short while ago.
